My adoptive dad Bob pays attention to road signs like a runway model to donuts. In other words, not at all! Bob once ran a STOP sign because he had been told that the white lines around the edges meant that it was "optional"!!! Even a dummy knows that failure to stop will eventually come back to haunt you. Bob learned that lesson the hard way when ran his pickup off the road, so as to avoid a driver with the "right-of-way."

Well, it seems that a certain German fellow has enrolled in the Bob School of Dummy Driving. This elderly German man obviously had a lot of trust in his vehicle's navigation system. He had so much in fact that he ignored all manner of road signs alerting him to a closed roadway because of construction. "Das Deutsch Dummy" must have thought that his navigational system was current on all road closings as he plowed through signs and warnings and eventually ran into a sand barricade. I can't imagine his shock as his faith in technology's infallible aid crumbled into a pile of sand. Or, should I say, slammed into a pile of sand?

Now this is a true, crash test dummy! No matter what - ignore the signs while you follow a pre-set course. I've seen a lot of people who had a similar philosophy of life and ran themselves into debt or bankruptcy or general idiocy.

It doesn't take a dummy to know that the "signs" are for your protection. Pay attention out there, folks. Life doesn't follow a pre-set course either.
